Important licensing information

The use of products pertaining to IP protected technologies may be restricted due to a limited license grant by the purchase of such product from IBA ("Limited Use Label License";). With the use of said product(s) by the customer such use limitation is deemed to be accepted. For information pertaining to a specific technology, IBA recommends that the customers review the relevant information below and contact the appropriate licensor directly.

Alexa

This product is provided under an agreement between Molecular Probes, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Invitrogen Corporation), and IBA GmbH, and the manufacture, use, sale or import of this product may be subject to one or more U.S. patents, pending applications, and corresponding non-U.S. equivalents, owned by Molecular Probes, Inc. The purchase of this product conveys to the buyer the non-transferable right to use the purchased amount of the product and components of the product in research conducted by the buyer (whether the buyer is an academic or for-profit entity). The buyer cannot sell or otherwise transfer (a) this product (b) its components or (c) materials made using this product or its components to a third party or otherwise use this product or its components or materials made using this product or its components for Commercial Purposes. The CD95 (Fas) ligand:T4-FOLDON fusion technology and/or its use is subject to patent applications owned by Apogenix GmbH, Heidelberg, and its use is permitted for research purposes only. Any use other than research of FasL-Strep requires a license from Apogenix GmbH, Heidelberg.

Click chemistry and Eterneon dyes

Click chemistry based products and Eterneon dyes are sold under license from baseclick GmbH.

CMV promoter

The CMV promoter is covered under U.S. Patents 5,168,062 and 5,385,839 and its use is permitted for research purposes only. Any other use of the CMV promoter requires a license from the University of Iowa Research Foundation, 214 Technology Innovation Center, Iowa City, IA 52242.

6x Histidine-tag

This product is protected by world-wide patents/patent applications and licensed from Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc., Nutley, NJ and/or Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd., Basel, Switzerland and is provided only for the use in research. Information about licenses for commercial use is available from QIAGEN GmbH, Qiagen Straße 1, D-40724 Hilden, Germany.

GST-tag

Intellectual property rights for the GST-tag (US 5,654,176 and foreign equivalents) are owned by Chemicon International and exclusively licensed to GE Healthcare. Vectors encoding GST are to be used for scientific investigation and research and for no other purpose whatsoever and may not be used for any clinical or therapeutic use on humans or animals. Licenses for commercial use of GST must be negotiated directly with Chemicon International. Refer to GE Healthcare AB, Sweden, (www.ge.com), for purchasing reagents for further use of GST.

Ni-NTA

The Ni-NTA resin contained in this Product is manufactured by QIAGEN under a license from Hoffmann-LaRoche Inc., Nutley, NJ and/or Hoffmann-LaRoche Ltd., Basel, Switzerland and is provided only for use in research. Twin-Strep-tag

Twin-Strep-tag technology is protected by US 7,981,632 and further patent applications owned by IBA. Purchase of reagents related to this technology from IBA provides a license for non-profit and in-house research use only. Any application of above mentioned technology for commercial purpose requires a separate license from IBA. A license may be granted by IBA on a case-by-case basis, and is entirely at IBA's discretion. Streptamer® technology

Any application of above mentioned technology for commercial purpose requires a separate license from IBA. T7 promoter

The use of products containing the T7 promoter may be covered by one or more US patents, i.e. US 4,952,496; US 5,693,489; US 5,869,320, licensed to IBA, by Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC. The T7 expression system is based on technology developed at Brookhaven National Laboratory under contract with the U. S. Department of Energy and is the subject of patent applications assigned to Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC. (BSA). By provision of the Distribution License Agreement granted to IBA covering said patents, IBA grants a non-exclusive sub-license under patents assigned to BSA for the use of this technology, including the enclosed materials, based upon the following assurance: These materials are to be used for non commercial research purposes only. A separate license is required for any commercial use, including the use of these materials for research purposes or production purposes by any commercial entity.
