Expression vectors for mammalia

Mammalian expression vectors are designed for high-level expression and purification of recombinant (Twin)-Strep-tag® fusion proteins. All vectors are equipped with the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate early promoter, which provides strong expression in a wide range of mammalian cells.

Different types of mammalian expression vectors are available:

pDSG-IBA

  • Optimized for MEXi, Mammalian Expression IBA, and are also suitable for other mammalian cell cultures
  • Extrachromosomal replication due to Epstein Barr Virus replication origin (oriP) - requires chromosomal expression of the EBNA-1 gene, e.g. like in MEXi 293E cells
  • ColEl ori and ampicillin resistance gene support propagation in E. coli
  • BM40 option for secretion of protein into the medium

pESG-IBA

  • SV40 ori for prolonged protein expression in cell lines latently infected with SV40 large T antigen, e.g. like in COS-1 and COS-7 cells
  • Neomycin resistance for generation of stable cell lines
  • ColEl ori and ampicillin resistance gene support propagation in E. coli
  • BM40 option for secretion of protein into the medium

pCSG-IBA

  • oriP and EBNA-1 gene for episomal expression in mammalian cells
  • SV40 ori for prolonged protein expression in cell lines latently infected with SV40 large T antigen, e.g. like in COS-1 and COS-7 cells
  • Neomycin resistance for generation of stable cell lines
  • prolonged expression of the inserted GOI under G418 selection
  • ColEl ori and ampicillin resistance gene support propagation in E. coli
  • BM40 option for secretion of protein into the medium

pESG-IBA and pCSG-IBA vectors also provide the f1 ori (and can therefore be used for virus production).
